1080p-Compatible HDMI (4 In/1 Out) with 3D and Audio Return Channel
The Yamaha RX-V567 is 1080p HDMI compatible, with 4 inputs and 1 output, ready to handle all your high-definition sources. And thanks to the latest HDMI technology, the RX-V467 is HDMI 3D-ready with a simple firmware upgrade--making you ready for the next generation of "next generation" content. It also supports an audio return channel, which enables a TV, via a single HDMI cable, to send audio data "upstream" to an A/V receiver or surround audio controller, eliminating the need for any separate S/PDIF audio connection when you have multiple sources connected to your TV.

HDMI CEC Functionality
One of the channels in an HDMI connection is dedicated to a set of advanced control functions, collectively known as CEC. In Yamaha receivers, CEC functionality allows connected devices to control each other in useful ways. For instance, a single command on a remote control can be used to play a DVD, or to launch other complex activities across multiple devices in a home theater system.

HDMI Digital Signal Upscaling and Deinterlacing
This is a function that upscales analog composite and component 480i or 480p signals to 1080i/720p HD signals or even 1080p Full HD signals so they can be output digitally with an HDMI cable and viewed at highest quality on high-definition displays. In addition, the analog video signals are deinterlaced from 480i to 480p and are output over an HDMI cable.

The RX-V567 Supports Deep Color (30/36-bit) Transmission
The Yamaha RX-V567 supports the latest HDMI 30- and 36-bit color depths, improved from the 24-bit depth of previous versions. This "Deep Color" allows the rendering of billions of colors for far greater accuracy. Colors are so vivid they seem to jump off the screen, with perfectly smooth tonal transitions and ultra-fine gradations between colors. It also enables many times more shades of gray, for higher contrast ratio.

Three New Volume Controls
The RX-V567 has three new volume features. Volume Trim adjust the volume of every input to normalize your volume across all your connected sources. Initial Volume allows you to tune to a preset volume level every time your receiver is turned on. Max Volume lets you set your own maximum volume, to help prevent "blowing out" smaller speakers (like satellite speakers).

On-Screen Display Makes Navigation Easy
An On-Screen Display is available on the RX-V567, letting you use easy-to-understand menus for selecting and adjusting receiver functions--such as a Speaker Test mode that makes it easy to balance the levels of all speakers, video upconversion selection, and DSP programs. A rotary encoder Input Selector makes source selection quick and easy.

SCENE buttons automatically launch play
of the source controlled by that button

YPAO sets your speakers for you

SCENE: A New Level of Operating Ease
Four SCENE buttons make operating the receiver easier than ever. They are initially set to default settings for DVD Viewing, Disc Listening, TV Viewing and Radio Listening. Pressing a SCENE button automatically launches a number of operations that initiate play of the source controlled by that button. Other SCENE settings are also available, such as iPod Listening, XM Listening, TV Sports Viewing and Action Game Playing. Browsing and selecting the settings is quickly accomplished by rotating the Input knob and watching the on-screen display. The settings can be selected for one-time use, or they can replace the original default settings. You can even change the SCENE names for convenience.

YPAO Sound Optimization for Automatic Speaker Setup
Yamaha's YPAO Sound Optimization system analyzes the acoustics of the room and adjusts various speaker parameters to provide optimum sound quality at the listening position--all in less than three minutes. Yamaha's YPAO system uses a small microphone and sophisticated equalization to automatically set the best sound for any room, no matter where the speakers are. First it checks the speaker connections and phase of each speaker. Then it sends out tones which are captured by the microphone to analyze the room acoustics and sets a variety of parameters, such as the speaker size, the distance of the speakers and even the sound pressure level, etc. It does this until it achieves the best sound conditions for your room, and you don't have to adjust a thing. The RX-V567 features the YPAO system that automatically selects the crucial frequency bands for the listening room, and then adjusts the level of the selected bands to create a cohesive sound field in the room.

Audio Delay Compensation Keeps Your Experience On Track
The latest display devices perform complex internal processing, causing time lag in the video signal. It is a small difference, but because the audio arrives first, the viewer may feel that something is not natural. The Audio Delay function for adjusting Lip-Sync matches the audio to the timing of the output of the video on the screen (0-240ms).

Surround Realism

CINEMA DSP Digital for Enhanced Surround Realism
Conventional multi-channel audio reproduction systems base their sound on Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, using matrix and steering technologies to create surround sound effects. Yamaha CINEMA DSP is much more advanced, actually creating richly realized independent sound fields that envelop you in an unmatched surround sound experience. With dialogue, music and effects ideally located in these separate sound fields, you will hear sound with accurate placement, smooth movement, exceptional clarity and richness, and startlingly realistic presence. It will seem as if the walls of your room have disappeared and you are in the middle of your own immense theater. The decoding circuitry performs Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround decoding with extreme accuracy, as well as all digital sound field processing.

Adaptive DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
Yamaha's Adaptive DRC technology automatically adjusts the dynamic range of the sound according to the volume that is selected. Adaptive DRC refines the dynamic range parameters to make low volume sounds easier to hear (narrower dynamic range) while retaining the massiveness felt during high volume (wider dynamic range). And because our ears lose sensitivity to low and high sounds as volume decreases, it continually adjusts these frequency ranges according to the volume and to the input signal level.

Large scale surround
in your headphones

SILENT CINEMA and Virtual CINEMA DSP
SILENT CINEMA makes it possible to hear large-scale surround sound through ordinary headphones! This is a variation of CINEMA DSP technology that Yamaha developed to let you listen in private to movies and other multi-channel sources for hours without listening fatigue. Virtual CINEMA DSP lets you enjoy the effects of CINEMA DSP surround sound without using surround speakers (handy for use in custom installations where some rooms don't have surround speakers). It can be used with the front / center / presence speakers or even with just the two front left and right speakers.

Compressed Music Enhancer Refreshes Your Music
Yamaha employs sophisticated digital signal processing with exclusive algorithms to enable playback that improves the performance of compressed music formats, including MP3 and WMA. With the Compressed Music Enhancer, highs and especially lows are richer and smoother, bringing music back to life to be as close to the original as possible.
